Brief Answer: DETAILS ARE GIVEN BELOW. Detailed Answer: Hello, Thanks for writing to us. Followings are my comments: 1) After taking PRIMOLUT N, most women get a withdrawal bleeding (similar to period) within 5 to 7 days. Here, you can wait another few days to get period naturally. You must take healthy diet, drink more water, avoid mental stress and take sound sleep. 2) If you don't get your period within few days, then underlying causes could be PCOD/ ovarian cyst, emotional upset/ mental stress, irregular diet habit, high prolactin level, over weight, pelvic infection, thyroid disturbance etc. In that case, One pelvic ultrasound scan (USG) and hormone test like thyroid profile, prolactin level, PPBS, LH/ FSH, DHEAS etc will be worthwhile to confirm the diagnosis. You can consult with GYNECOLOGIST regarding this. 3) You may require combined hormonal pill or other regular progesterone (cyclic) pill to induce and regularize your monthly period cycle. Kindly, procure complete prescription from your doctor. For successful conception, you need to follow this suggestions: 1) First, you need regular cycle with proper ovulation. With regular period, you can try to conceive naturally for continuous 6 to 12 months. 2) You have to do regular unprotected sex close to your ovulation day (14 days prior to actual due date) OR (11th to 19th day of each 28 to 30 days cycle) to maximize the chance of pregnancy. You can use OVULATION KIT or LH KIT to track down your ovulation day in the mid cycle . 3) Both of you must take a healthy balanced diet with more fresh fruits and vegetables. Low carbohydrate diet is preferable. Take vitamin-E and folic acid supplements for 3 months in preconception period and there after. 4) Do light to moderate exercise for physical fitness and to reduce or control body weight. Avoid mental stress completely by regular meditation or yoga. Maintain a healthy life style. If you fail to conceive within 6 months of trying, then you must consult with INFERTILITY SPECIALIST and proceed some investigations like Husband semen analysis and other investigations are required. Proper treatment can be made only after ruling out the underlying cause and confirm diagnosis. Hope, above information is quite helpful to you. Kindly, close the discussion if you don't have any other query. Wish your good health and take care yourself. Regards, Dr Soumen

Thanks a lot doc for details , I have got all the tests done and everything is fine , My husband has been adviced to have Paternia medicine once a day and one XXXXXXX of NEurokind a day for less mortility . I got follicle done in feb end and doc said there is no cyst , also I have put on around 9-10kgs in one year but this is not suddenly , my periods were very regular till Feb . I am not exercising at all since a year . I am in touch with a gynecologist since 8-9 months and according to her in XXXXXXX I had good follicle and she gave an injection to rupture it . Kindly let me know if there is any chance of me being pregnant in this cycle . No periods with this 5 days medicine is not a sign of pregnancy ? coz I had a lot of symptom like fatigue , cramps, headache , back ache since 20-30 days . Please suggest what is going wrong with me

Brief Answer: FOLLOW THE ADVICE. Detailed Answer: Hello, Thanks for giving additional details. You should wait another few days before repeating blood beta-hCG test to rule out LATE CONCEPTION. In my opinion, hormonal imbalance (progesterone deficiency) and mental stress are the main causes of late period in this context. If you get negative pregnancy test again, you may require regular progesterone pill (cyclic therapy) to resume your monthly cycle. Kindly, procure a complete prescription from your doctor. Hope, I have answered your query. Kindly, close the discussion. All the best and good luck. Regards, Dr Soumen
