What Causes Night Time Coughing With Wheezing?
Question: I've been having some issues for a while now. When I lay down to sleep I have a weezing in my chest and can't sleep because I want to cough it up but I can't. I've also been having back and chest pains.This has nothing to do with allergies and I wanted to make sure that you understood that I just today started taking the graviola and this has been bothering me for a while. Also I have been having extremely sharp back pains just in the last couple of days. The back pain is probably not related.

Night time coughing with wheezing is seen in asthma and bronchitis. But in your case bronchitis seems more probable as you deny allergy and past history of similar complaints. So asthma is ruled out.
Back pain can be due to excessive coughing. Coughing cause forceful contraction of rib and back muscles. So repeated coughing cause excessive muscle contraction and so muscular pain. So in my opinion your back pain is due to coughing only.
For diagnosis of bronchitis chest x ray and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) is needed. So better to consult pulmonologiat and get done these test and diagnose yourself.
You many need antibiotic, inhaled bronchodilators, antihistamines, anti inflammatory, painkiller and muscle relaxants.
