What Causes Night Sweats, Bite Marks On Body And Itching All Over Body?
Question: Hi I am having problems with my kidneys, the dr says it is not my bladder and the colon dr says it is not my colon. It has been going on for over 1 year. I have night sweats every night a d I am up approx every 45 min to 1 hr trying to urinate. I do have a parasite my husband and I both have this but so far no one believes me help I do have bite marks on mybody It is hookworm strongloide. I have had to diagnose us since every dr I have seen thinks I am nuts. Not one dr has done a skin scrape. Dr conte in s XXXXXXX oh treated me for mites which the biting and itching has never gone away now I am afraid this is my problem with my kidneys and colon.

Sometime back I had similar patient who did doctor shopping trying to find solutions for the problems that she had. She was complaining of itching and biting by bugs and on doing the skin scrap testing there was minimal findings that co related to her complaints. We suggested her to get the house examined by the pest control authority and so did. The couple were happy that they found some bugs that release the allergens causing the itching. No sooner the lady came back to me again with the same problem, then I had a doubt about conversion disorder. I referred to the Psychiatrist if he can authenticate my doubts.
She was later treated from the Psychiatrist but never came back to me. I was not referring to your other symptoms about kidney problems (not mentioned in query).
So definitely you should visit a physician who listens to you and get the skin scrap examined under microscope esp hookworm. Same time stool examination and blood counts are important. Meanwhile a referral to Psychiatrist may help to ascertain other findings if any.
