default
Posted on Wed, 5 Nov 2014
Question: Night sweats and sensitivity to heat.So far they have done a blood test to check for an infection of which I have not received the results yet. Although I am hot I don't feel like I have a fever. Also, I live in a warm climate and this past weekend a trip to the coast in below 70 temperature and keeping the room 68 degrees I felt near normal. After geting home to 80 degrees it felt like a hundred and unless I am in a constant flow of cool air I am flushed.

Brief Answer:
Side effect of epidural injection

Detailed Answer:
Good evening to you. My name is Dr. Saghafi and I am a neurologist from XXXXXXX Ohio. How are you? Ridunculous question, right? We wouldn't be having this conversation if you were feeling GREAT!

If this is a new experience for you (both night sweats and sensitivity to heat as well as epidural injections) then, your symptoms may very well be side effects from the injection. If these disappear or calm down as time passes then, you should report this event to the doctor who gave you the shots. Some or at least 1 of the components of the shots are not compatible with your system so your doctor is going to have to look at that and consider making adjustments on the next round.

Of course, other possibilities should be considered as well as such as overactive thyroid....I'd look into checking other hormones such as testosterone, cortisol, and how about OTHER medications that you may be taking or may be new to you in the past week? Are there any new drugs?
