Question: Hello. My son is 1year old. Last night he bumped the front of his head hard. He did not lose consciousness, cried for about 1.5 min then was back to normal. He has a goose egg on his forehead. I watched him all night, slept fine. This morning, he has thrown up twice. Other than that, he is acting totally normal. Do I need to rush him to the doctor?

Brief Answer:
It would be safer for him to have it checked by a doctor.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Nausea and vomiting can be a symptom of high pressure inside skull. High pressure can be caused by some bleeding due to injury. Unfortunately no one is able to tell you if he has any serious injury inside the skull or not.
So it would be safer for your son to have it checked by a doctor. Head CT or ultrasound through fontanel should be done to make sure he is fine.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
