What Causes Muscle Cramps?

Question: Hi my name is XXXXXXX I lay in bed tensed up and muscles tightened. I have to physically let go and exhale to loosen up. Moments later I'm in the same tenses up knot. Why would this be happening? it's been going on for several years

Thanks for your query.

I'm Dr. Sudhir Kumar,

After going through your query I concluded that you may be suffering from muscle cramps. In my opinion these are likely to be due to vitamins and trace element deficiency specially that of vitamin D.Your day to day tension also increases incidences of muscle cramps.
I will suggest you to got following test to see cause .
1.Serum Vitamin D3
2.Serum Vitamin B12
3.Blood sugar fasting and PP
Furthermore Empirically treat my such patients by:-
1.EVION LC
2.VITAMINE D3(if it is low)
3.VITAMIN B COMPLEX AND VITAMIN C
4.CALCIUM
5.Mecobalmine
You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it.
You are advised to remain relaxed.
Stretching of muscles specially calf muscles before going to bed is helpful.
