Brief Answer:
Consult Gynecologist for investigation of the problem

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to Healthcare magic.
I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I will be answering your concerns.
You just wrote one sentence as your query. So I looked into your other question so that I would be in a position to help you better. Based on that I will be answering you.
If you wish to have baby, first thing you need to do is STOP the birth control pill. They are used to avoid pregnancy.
Just having one period in these two years is not normal. You must be investigated for it. It could be due to problem with ovulation, thyroid problem or problem with pituitary hormone secretion.
At what age you had menarche? Have your periods been irregular since then? Do you have excessive hair growth on the body? Do you have milk secretion from breast? What is your BMI? Are you on any medications? Did you receive any sort of treatment for any problem before?
For such a patient in my clinic,
I would do a pelvic ultrasound to evaluate for evidence of polycystic ovaries.
I would do blood levels of FSH, LH, Prolactin and testosterone, estradiol and thyroid hormones. This would guide me as to how to manage further.
At the same time it is important to get semen analysis done for your husband. As you know both couple need to have normal parameters for conception.

Take one tablet of folic acid daily as this is known to reduce the risk of possibility of spine and brain anomalies in the fetus.
To increase your chances of conception maintain normal BMI, quit smoking ( if you're a smoker) and have intercourse at least three times in a week.
I hope this helps

Brief Answer:
Please get all the investigations (mentioned already) done.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
You have not answered the questions I asked above. You said your cycles were irregular before. Irregular means how irregular they were? You were getting periods once in how many months?

What about your FSH, LH, Prolactin and testosterone levels?
What about the report of ultrasound for ovaries?
What is your BMI?
You must do all these tests to find the answer for irregular ovulation. Just taking medicines blindly is not good and may cause harm.
I hope this helps.
