Brief Answer:
AS BELOW
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
According to me, you must be having mild
hormonal imbalance, which is common in this age group ( as you are peri menopausal ).
However, please ask your gynecologist to have the following workup done anyway -
1. Pelvic
ultrasound scan done transvaginally
2. FSH, LH,
TSH,
Prolactin, OGTT.
This will show if you are actually peri menopausal .
Further, for the medications , in my understanding -
1. Start
Duphaston right away for ten days ( irrespective of the bleeding / spotting )
2. Once you stop you will have a withdrawal bleeding ( period ) which may be heavy or light depending on the status of your endometrium ( uterine lining ), this can be seen by ultrasound. Please upload the report of the scan which is done, that will make things more clear to me.
3. From the second day of your withdrawal bleeding, start taking
Yaz pills continuously for 3 months.
4. Once you stop the Yaz pills, after 3 months, when you have your period, on the 3rd day , go for transvaginal pelvic ultrasound scan again.
The
cyst , if functional and harmless, will clear away by then.
Again, I request you to upload the scan already done, and the doctor's prescription also.
All the best
Please feel free to discuss further.
