Brief Answer:
Yes. It will help.

Detailed Answer:
Yes. Losing few extra pounds will help in avoiding the problem of PCOD. Medicines like Garcinia or green tea do help to lose weight but a rebound weight gain is seen after you stop using these. It is better to start with a low carbohydrate and fat diet and do regular daily exercises. It will help in gradual and sustained weight loss.
You can also have a fresh lime juice after every meal to help in reducing weight.
Regards.

Brief Answer:
Oral contraceptive pills will help.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The mild brown discharge is due to hormonal imbalance caused by PCOD> You will need a regular treatment with hormonal tablets to get normal periods. You can start with oral contraceptive pills for 3 cycles after consulting your gynecologist to regularize your periods.
After the periods become regular then only there are chances of normal ovulation or conception.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.

Brief Answer:
Medicines will be needed.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
Even if your gynecologist did not prescribe you hormonal pills earlier, these are needed now to regularize your periods otherwise it will be very difficult for you to conceive.
Weight loss itself will take at least 6 months to 1 year. It will not happen instantly.
You will have to take the help of medicines to regularize the periods and to conceive. Do consult an infertility specialist for this.
Hope my answer is helpful.
Do accept my answer in case there are no further queries.
