Question: Hi,
last 3-4 weeks my head has been feeling unsteady . I had ear aches ,migrane headaches (not frequent) and slight ... imbalance conditions. CT Scan , EKG and a trip to ENT(with audiologist) say everything is normal.
Now i just feel slight numbness in just my head and face (which just feels like itchy) and sometimes slight ear ache. What is wrong with me ?

Brief Answer:

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for posting the query. I have gone through the query and understood your problem. I'll try my best to help you with this.

After going through the query, I am of the opinion that, all the problems of yours are interrelated and they are the common symptoms of Migraine.

Migraine and its variants can be diagnosed with the history alone and the investigations thus done are to rule out other similar neurological conditions.

The numbness is because of the inflammation of the nerves with altered conduction. Do not worry! With appropriate measures this can be taken care of.

My suggestions to you are:
1. Drink plenty of warm water.
2. Try consuming plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, this will nourish the nerves and reduce the co morbid problems.
3. Try taking potent anti inflammatory medicines such as ibuprofen or diclofenac, this will reduce the inflammation of the nerves.
4. A multivitamin with magnesium and B-Complex helps in early recovery.
5. Avoid coffee/tea/fizzy drinks/chocolates/ice cream.

Hope I have answered your query; I'll be available for the follow up queries.

Brief Answer:
Earache could be a referred pain...

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for writing back.

Migraine associated vertigo is a common entity, it is also known as vestibular migraine. Most of the migrainers do experience dizziness either before starting of the headache which is also known as aura or after the headache, which is termed as vestibular migraine.

Earache could be due to the referred pain and not directly related to the migarine.

Hope this clears your doubts. Wish you good health and good luck.
