Question: I have a metallic taste in my mouth and it is burning when I eat any ideas? I have not been around any chemicals.

As far as the metallic taste is concerned, it can be because of any pus discharge secondary to any tooth or gum infection. The other possible cause can be secondary to drugs like metronidazole. So you need to consult an oral physician and get it evaluated. If there is any tooth or gum infection, that needs to be treated.
Regarding the burning sensation, it can be secondary to any ulcer in the oral cavity. Nothing to be panic, you can apply topical anesthetics like lignocaine and topical analgesics like choline salicylate. Do saline gargling.
