What Causes Lump In Thigh?

default
Posted on Fri, 7 Nov 2014
Question: I have a lump on my thigh that started out the size of a marble but is now about twice as round but kind of flat. Feels more like muscle than liquid but it is soft. Doesn't hurt and barely noticeable.Any ideas?

Brief Answer:
For how long has this lump been?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this lump. First, I will like to know how long its been since you first noticed this lump. Also, I will like to have an image of this lump for review.

From the information you have provided, this lump is more suggestive of a lipoma. Lipoma is a deposit of fat tissue in the which lies just under the skin. It normally feels soft to the touch, XXXXXXX and causes no pains. It grow steadily over time. It would rarely increase in size in a short while. If the increase in size was very fast, this would not be typical of a lipoma.

For now, I will like to have responses to the above questions. I would then make final suggestions and recommendations taking into account this information .

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

This lump appeared marble size about 6-9 month's ago. It grew to the size it is in what seemed like a short period of time and has stayed as it is now for 4-5 month's. Can't really see it though except up close. Not sure a picture would be noticeable.

Brief Answer:
Get it examined at your convenience!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for following up with me.

I will suggest that you get this lump examined by your physician during the next routine physical or you get an appointment at your convenience. This would serve to identify the cause and most likely provide reassurance as no doctor would want to operate on a silent and very tiny mass. I would also like you not to get too bothered about this lump as it is likely of benign nature.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information if need be. Also, tell me what you think about this plan whether it works for you or not!
