What Causes Lump In Outer Labia Of Vagina?

Question: I have discover a lump in my outer labia of the vagina. it feels swollen and its painful to the touch and some when I move a certain way. there is NO visible bump or anything out side the skin! its INTERNAL! what could this be??? Also im 32 weeks pregnant!! please help! its scary!!

Detailed Answer: Hello there, Welcome to HCM, Thanks for writing to us, Vaginal fungal infections are more common during pregnancy as the PH decreases to 3.8 to 4.0,as this allows the development of candidial and other fungal infections. As it usually seen on the mucosal side of vaginal, you are not able to view any visible swelling on outside of the skin. Do not worry, just usage of anti-fungal creams like 1% clotrimazole cream. If you still had profound itching and swelling visiting a nearby gynecologist is advisable. Take care. Dr.surendiran.g
