What Causes Lower Right Back Pain?

default
Posted on Thu, 1 Jun 2017
Question: Since palm sunday Ive been having right side pain. Im prone to kidney stones and did pass one about 3 weeks later, but the pain persists. Not as severe but always there, radiates around my lower abdomen. Ive always slept my right side but since it all began, Im unable to. Pain gets very severe. Ive had a ct scan on my kidneys which they say looks stable[whatever that means]. My back also goes into spasems whenever I do anything like even walking. Im usually active so Ive been bearing it. Having to sit and relax when it gets real bad. Any ideas as to what could possibly be going on?

Brief Answer:
Urine analysis should be done.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Did they mention about other kidney stones? It is very common to have few kidney stones, not just one. So it is possible that you have just another stone.
As you have passed a stone recently, urinary tract infection caused by the stone can be the reason as well.
Finally spine disc issues should be always considered, especially that symptoms can be similar to urinary tract issues.
In my opinion, you should have urine analysis and blood work done at first. If no infection, spine MRI should be the next step.

Hope this helps.
Regards.
