Brief Answer:
The visual symptoms are seen in aura of migraine.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to Health care magic

I am Dr. Dadapeer K, an Ophthalmologist and I answer health problems related to eye.

It seems from the history that you are having migraine headache. Visual symptoms like colored halos, flashes of light, floaters, loss of vision are seen in migraine aura. These symptoms are transient and will not lead to permanent loss of vision. If you are having loss of vision the ocular causes like eye diseases should be ruled out after consultation with your eye doctor.

The presence of aural symptoms of migraine require prophylactic drugs for treatment of migraine to prevent migraine attacks. The commonly used prophylactic drugs are beta blockers like propranolol and flunarizine.
For acute attacks of migraine you can continue the drugs like imitrex.

Hence I advice you to consult your physician for prescription of prophylactic drugs for preventing the recurrent attacks of migraine.

Hope the information is helpful to you.

Thank you
