Question: Hello. My name is XXXXXXX and I am 57 years old. Haven't smoked since '91 and do not drink plus no recreational drugs. I have light headedness, coughing, the interior of my mouth is very sensitive. I hurt along my back, my legs, fingers and tired. I would think I have a virus. Gargle with warm salt water, taking Tustin CF for cough and ibprophen for the pains in my body. ( back, legs, fingers, etc. is there something else I should be looking at? I have been sleeping at night and taking naps. The lightheadedness is very bothersome. Any suggestions? Thank you

Brief Answer:
Could be due to a viral infection.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. There are two possible causes of the problems you report. The first is indeed a viral infection. The second is the possibility of hormone deprivation.

In case of the former, you need to be patient. Usually viral infections like this are self limiting and problems subside in a week or two. Taking some Prochlorperazine (Stemetil) should provide relief. You also need to drink plenty of water.

In case of the latter, hormone replacement therapy (HRT) should help in the resolution of your problems.

There is no specific thing that you should be 'looking at'.

Regards
