What Causes Light Periods Along With Nausea And Dizziness?
Question: I am 38 years old. I am experiencing strong pregnancy symptoms for the last 3 months but getting my periods on time but lighter than normal. I have desperate nausea and feeling faint, extremely hormonal, heightened sense of smell, increased breast size, fatigue, forgetfulness. All these are all throughout the month. I have had 5 children and had a tubal ligation in 2013. What else other than pregnancy can be causing these symptoms. Thanks

I have read your query and understand the concern,
If you are experiencing same pregnancy symptoms,then you can go for UPT testing to make sure about the pregnancy although the chances are less but tubal ligation may get failed (uncommonly) and the women become pregnant.
It will be very unlikely to become pregnant if you did sex in the non-fertile days of your menstrual cycle.
So,I would advice you to do 'urine pregnancy testing' to rule out the pregnancy but it should be done after 18 to 20 days following unprotected intercourse to get the accurate result.
As you have asked about the other causes of your symptoms for which you need to see general physician for complete medical history and thoroughly clinical examination with some relevant laboratory investigations as it will be difficult for me to diagnose only on the basis of multiple symptoms and without any lab findings.
