Question: Hello Doctor
My left side stomach continuously painting. May be for gastric problem. Not much pain but felling some acheness . could you please prescribe good medicine or supplements.

Hi
As per your description, it could be gastritis,i. e. inflammation of the stomach.
I prescribe Tablet Rabeprazole 20mg twice daily before food and Antispasmodic tablet containing Dicyclomine after food, to my patients with similar complaints.I also add Syrup containing Sucralfate if the pain is severe due to Gastritis.
I prefer an Ultrasound abdomen to rule out any disease in the Spleen,kidney as they are present on the left side of the abdominal cavity.
To rule out gastric problem, you should get an Upper GI endoscopy.
Avoid spicy and masala food, carbonated drinks .
You should take frequent small feeds.
Pain killers should be avoided.
Please consult your doctor, get examined clinically and proceed accordingly.
