Brief Answer:
Please, get a medical evaluation. Have you been vomiting?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this problem that you have reported. For sure, if there is very little fecal matter coming out through this loop and you reporting a distended stomach, then there could be a blockage somewhere. Ilesostomy often drain large amount of fluids daily. Have you ha any change in the volume of drainage from this stoma compared to previous days? If this be the case, then you may be constipated or have some form of difficulties with free passage of intestinal content. If you have experienced any vomiting, please strongly consider getting examined by your treating physician.

In all, I strongly feel you need a full evaluation by your treating doctor to rule out the possibility of constipation or blockage of the intestinal loops that limits free flow of its content. If you can drink freely, I recommend you drink more fluids and eat much fruits.

I hope this helps. I wish you well Thank you so much for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
