Brief Answer:
Joints pain after viral fever can persisit and go away after 3 to 4 weeks.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome to H.C.M.
I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.
I see similar cases amongst people who visit my clinic.

Aches and pains after viral fevers are common and they usually go away at their own in about 3 to 4 weeks.

Viral infections do not respond to antibiotics and most will go away on their own.

In a case of joints pain with history of viral fever in last 1 to 2 week, I advise my patient to follow these steps-

1) Plenty of fluids daily (8 to 9 glasses of water) and increased protein diet (Pulses ,eggs, milk,,soybean and others those have high protein contents).

2) Repeat complete blood count including platelets count.

3) Tablet Paracetamol 650 mg after meal whenever patient feels severe pain but not more than 3 in 24 hours.
Do not take other pain killers until advised by doctor.

Thanx.

Hope this answers your question.
If you have any query then please do not hesitate .
I will be happy to answer your questions.
