Kindly suggest.
Brief Answer:
Likely severe house dust mite allergy
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
Welcome to Healthcare Magic and thank you for writing to us.
Your symptoms of itch runny nose, sneezing, coughing, red eyes would be consistent with perennial rhinitis/rhinoconjunctivitis.
This can be due to inhaled allergens of which the most common one is house dust mite.
It is therefore recommended that you get blood tests or skin prick tests done to know your sensitivities to allergens.
For skin tests, you must avoid taking antihistamines for a week.
For Specific IgE blood test, you do not have to take any precautions.
Tests recommended:
Hemogram
Liver function tests
TSH, fT4
Vit D3 levels
IgE level
Specific IgE against inhaled allergens
Treatment:
Long acting antihistamines like Fexofendaine 180mg once daily
Nasonexnasal spray 1/nostril once daily
Best Wishes.
Brief Answer:
Try medications for 2 months
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
You can try the medications for 2 months, if symptoms return on stopping the medications, please get the tests done.
