What Causes Itchy Red Bumps On Scalp, Waist And Hands?
Question: I am a 53 year old male 5 foot 11 and 15 stone, i have developed rash like swellings on my scalp, waist ,hands and now on sole s of my feet.
The selling starts out as a very itchy red swelling, after a day or so the swelling goes and I am left with a bruise like mark that is hot to touch and very painful.
These then subside and a new outbreak arises on another part of my body.
Initially I had a very itchy scalp for about a month , which I thought might have been dandruff so I took tar based shampoo, this did not relieve the itchyness, and now I have the symptoms as described above

Could be Psoriasis
Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir!
Thank you for writing in Healthcaremagic.
I understand your concern. After reading your condition I could think of one provisional diagnosis that is Psoariasis. It can occur anywhere in the body causing itchy, dandruff like flakes and burning and soreness in the area.
This generally comes and goes.I would strongly recommend you to see a dermatologist and get a confirmed diagnosis after thorough evaluation.Meanwhile you can try ointments containing salicylic acid.
Hope this helps.
