Brief Answer:
HSV 1 is a harmless infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Thanks for posting your query.
You had not mentioned when was your last unprotected sex. How long after you had your tests for HIV/STD. These particulars are very important to answer your questions. Kindly mention your age also.
HSV 1 infection is not a STD essentially. It can occur to anybody from childhood day on wards. It is a harmless and not a life threatening infection. It may remain symptom-less also. 40-50% of people in any population have antibodies against HSV 1 infection. Your skin rashes are not necessarily related to the past sexual act or to any STD. ELISA for HSV is reliable.

Hi sir,
Exactly after 100 days of unprotected sex I have taken HIV test or hsv panel test and all the tests which are prescribed by the sex specialist. All the tests are taken after 3+ months even hsv Elisa ... HIV antibody tests and all. He also suggested me to take one more HIV test after 6 months even in that HIV is negative... But my doubt is hsv panel after 3+ months is accurate ...or do I need to undergo hsv panel test again after 6months... will there be any chance of detecting hsv2 after 6 months as I am getting lot of rashes in my body.. please suggest me on this sir... am I effected with hsv2

Brief Answer:
You are free from HIV and STD

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
Your test reports 100 days after the exposure are highly reliable and you are free from HIV /STD. You need not go for another test after 6 months unless you are on some immunosuppressive drugs. HSV result also can be reliable by this time. Not to worry.
