Question: Ever since I have had my first sex with my wife a week back and she is a virgin, I have been getting a itchiness in my penis and have been finding it tough for erection too. There is two small dots at the head of penis and am little bit concerned. Is it any allergy or anything to do with some infection or anything serious? can u let me how this can be cured?

Brief Answer:
allergy/fungal infection possible

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX

Since this is your first time sex with your wife, it is possible to be allergy or minor reactions to the exchange of fluids between the genital tracts. However, since you have itching and there are two small dots that are raised at the head of penis, it could be minor fungal infection as well.

I understand your concern. Relax, not to worry. This is not something serious rather it is commonly seen especially among the newly weds.

I have treated my patients with such complaints with topical Candid B ointment to be applied on the area around the head of penis three times a day for atleast a week. Wash the area with lukewarm water and apply the ointment. You can try this as well. Together with this, maintain personal hygiene, wear clean cotton undergarment.

You can continue to have sex with your wife having a condom on. If you do not wish to use the condom, then I suggest you to abstain from sexual intercourse until the time you feel symptom free.

Just to add a note, please ask your wife if she is having any itching or similar complaints in her vaginal area. If yes, it is better that she is treated too. In such case, both of you would need to take oral antibiotics like Fas 3 kit. At this stage, I do not think this is required. Only Candid B topical ointment should work fine.

Get well soon. Let me know if you have any doubts or more queries.

Brief Answer:
good amount of foreplay will help

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX

Do not worry about the frequency of erection. Even if it has decreased now, it would gradually improve. The reason for this is usually psychological and performance anxiety.

I would suggest you to reduce the frequency of masturbation, and indulge in more amount of actual foreplay with your partner. Even if you are able to have sexual intercourse 2 to 3 times a week with ejaculation with your partner, that would be normal.

At this stage, you do not need any medication for this.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Brief Answer:
yes, definitely

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX

I am glad that your symptoms are improving.

Yes, it is definitely possible to increase your libido with natural foods. These include almonds, pistachios, raisins, cashews, one or two glasses of whole milk or skimmed milk daily (if you are overweight), strawberries, garlic, oysters. Oily fish such as mackerel, sardines and salmon are all high in Omega 3, and help boost the sexual system. Try taking them all.

Wish you good health.

Doctor my final question to you.

Since i have stopped my masturbation in the last 3 days, my erection has improved though its not absolutely perfect. will this become alright?

Secondly there is still slight pain in head of penis and some irritation in other parts of penis when i try using it (not during urination). is this because of the infection still being there? will this be alright if i continue using Candid B or any other issue??

Thank you

Brief Answer:
your erection will become normal soon

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX

Yes, your erection will become normal very soon since you have stopped masturbating now. However, I must say you that occasional masturbation should not cause you problems.

Your current symptoms are due to recovering illness. The infection is in healing stage now. So, it will heal soon with Candid B. I do not think there is no other issue.

Do not manipulate the area unnecessarily. Keep it clean and dry.

Hope your queries are answered. Do leave a feedback on the answer if time permits.

Take care of your health.

good day!
