What Causes Itching Around Kness And On Body After Knee Replacements?

Question: Hi there my mum has had knee replacements done in both knees at the same time 31/2 mnths ago. Ever since she has terrible itching esp around the knees and all over her body. She also has rash on the outside areas of the knees that is blackish in colour. Biopsy reveals that it is an allergy. My question is what tests need to be done to discover what she is allergic too? All started after the replacements
