What Causes Irregular Spotting After Taking Primolut-n?
Question: Hi doctor, I had my menstrual cycle on 17th till April. Then I delayed it by taking primolut-n for 1 week. And my new day 1 became 24th May that lasts for 5 days. I was calculating my ovulation period. As i did sexual intercourse on 14th XXXXXXX I want to know the probability of me getting pregnant. Does this medicine shifts our cycle permanently or its just a temporary postponement? Moreover on 18th XXXXXXX I noticed some spots on UW(no bleeding in stool) and observing it for for last two days. It has been light spots till now, only today, the discharge was heavy.Not sure whether it is implantation bleeding or periods. Please clarify.

Your new periods dates in May was 24th. Now in XXXXXXX the periods will be expected near 22nd XXXXXXX Once the periods are delayed with hormonal tablets next periods will be expected one month after the last periods.
The irregular spotting that you are having for last few days is likely to be due to impending period. It is not likely to be an implantation bleeding as the spotting is persisting for 2-3 days. It is best to wait for 3-4 more days and let the flow to gradually increase on its own.
In case the spotting stops then do test your urine for pregnancy. The fertile days were from 3-12 XXXXXXX

Thanks for your reply. Spotting persists even today with slight more discharge of red viscous liquid(still its not perfect bleeding/ can't be say flow, just happened twice a day). As you said chances of pregnant are very less, I will still go for pregnancy test after stoppage of bleeding. But just in case of positive, I don't want to go for pregnancy. Can you tell me the perfect dosage of SAFEGUARD-SR(available in India) and its side effects?
