Brief Answer:
MRI of knee is recommended to look for underlying pathology

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to health care magic, I have gone through your question and photograph you have attached with it very diligently and I really appreciate your concern.

At the outset, I would like further information for better assessment of the condition like --

Why have you undergone for the arthroscopy ?
Have you taken any treatment for this occasional pain ?
Any aggravating or relieving factor if you can identify, if any ?

I would advise you to go for an MRI knee to look for any underlying pathology for the pain and discomfort in knee.

Indentation you have asked about, is a normal phenomenon, a gap between two different muscles so you need not to worry about this.

Hope this answers your question please feel free to ask for follow up question I will be happy to help you.

Best wishes

Brief Answer:
Healing continues till 4-6 months and even more

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome again.

Healing after arthroscopy may take 4-6 months or even more.

I would advise you for physiotherapy and hamstrings exercises under supervision of physiotherapist.

For better assessment of the condition and to see for state of healing, you should go for an MRI knee after discussing with your doctor.
