The very fact that you have got it for long duration points it to be a benign lesion, which is not to be much worried about. This could be a bony deformity present right from your birth which is noticed by you at present. The exact nature of the indentation could be known by a personal physical examination which won't be possible at the moment.

If I were your doctor, I would at best advise you for a X ray skull, followed by a CT scan of skull and brain if need be. However, in my opinion, you might not at all need these if there are no other symptoms of this.

Even though it is good to be concerned about one's own health, one should not become frightened or obsessive for such lesions which could be there for some time.Therefore, I would advise you to get your self examined by your family physician/general surgeon, who after a physical examination and related investigations could arrive at a diagnosis and appropriate management or might declare it as a harmless lesion.
