Question: Dear Doctor,
I have been suffering for the past few years. From 2011 to 2013 i was suffering from a peculiar migraine which was akin to hemiplegic migraine. I am now cured of it. After that i developed medistinal lympadenopaty .I was on Anti TB drugs till about a year back. While i was on ATD i also felt discomfort like something crawling on my back and legs, light headedness , some times stomach cramps etc. Due to this there was a feeling of general unwellness. I was put on Cipralex 10 for almost 6 months which i then reduced to Cipralex 5 for 2 months and then discontinued. In december last year i felt hot flushes suddenly and generally unwell. My neurologist asked me to take Rivotril 0.5 twice daily. I took it twice daily for about 1 month and them reduced it to once daily. I stopped taking this drug 3 days back. Since sunday i am again experiencing hot flushes during the day as well as in the night.
As you may have noticed I have been unwell for a pretty long time and on various types of drugs. Besides this i also take blood thinner medicine, blood pressure medicne, thyroid medicine and cholestrol medicine regularly.
I am fed up of taking medicines. I go for morning walks,do breathing exercises and other free hand exercises daily.
Please suggest whether I start taking rivotril once again or should i take some other medicine.

Brief Answer:
Get investigated as advised and continue rivotril

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Hot flashes need to be evaluated.
What is the dose of thyroid medicine and when the test was done?
If the test was done greater than 3 months, then get it repeated as excessive thyroid hormone can lead to hot flashes and racing heart rate.
Rivotril can be continued for now.
Upload any previous reports or prescription.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
