Brief Answer:
Eustachian tube dysfunction- needs evaluation.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I have gone through your question and understand your concerns that you are having hissing sound in ear.

Based on your clinical details, it appears to be Eustachian tube dysfunction secondary to unresolved sinusitis or temparo-mandibuar joint dysfunction.

In my opinion, you need to do audiometry (Eustachian tube dysfunction), x-ray temparo-mandibular joint (arthritis). if necessary Ct scan of para nasal sinuses for chronic sinusitis.

Mean while, do steam inhalation, chew chewing gum, do valsalva exercises (watch you tube video), restrict temparo mandibular joint movement (wide mouth opening, side to side movements).

Hope this answers your question, if you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health.

Hi. Eustachian tubes checked and clear. Doctor says it's possibly depression/anxiety that is causing tight knotted facial muscles. I get woozy a lot and a little sick to stomach. Could it then be that humming in ear, wooziness, and all the tight muscles r really just stress? I have been under a lot of work and family stress. Thank u

Brief Answer:
ppi inhibitors.

Detailed Answer:

Hello again,

Thanks for considering my answer and for your follow up.

Yes. stress can cause ringing sensation in ears. GERD (gastro-esophageal re flux disease) can also cause Eustachian tube dysfunction secondary to regurgitation of partially digested food.

Take PPI inhibitors with prokinetics like TAB.pantokind-dsr (pantaprazole +domperidone), one tablet twice daily before food.

Related to facial neuro- muscular disorder, needs to evaluate with investigations and neuro-physician opinion.

Hope, I have answered your query.

Take care.
