Brief Answer:
Fall back to prescribed dosage. Continue with increased fluid intake!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Sorry to hear about this mixed up. While 3000mg is way above the usual recommended dose of 1000mg daily, it doesn't represent a fatal dose. I will encourage you to switch back to the normal dose and monitor only. There are no special measures to take. If anything worrisome sets in, I Will suggest that you report to me. Treat your menses just as you normally do and carry on.

I hope this helps and helps reassure you and lesses your fears. Keep me posted and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

Do you think an early period and dark urine could be due to high dosage over a few days?

Brief Answer:
Dark urine is a side effect!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Dark urine is a known side effect of this drug. If this has been ongoing for several days since you started the drug, I will say stop it immediately and talk to your doctor. It might be appropriate to switch to another drug in order to be safe than sorry.

I wish you well.
