What Causes Heavy Period With Blood Clots?
Question: Thanks. I am a 51 year old married woman and I noticed Ve become very dry in my vagina so I statted using replens vaginal moisturizer. I noticed after a while that the residual comes out on to my pants like a thickish paste. This comes out like two days after.
I saw my period which has been epileptic for about two years and decided to take note of when It comes. The last period was on the 3rd of Nov and another started today 17th of XXXXXXX
Quite heavy with little chunks of blood clots, this evening I sat on the bowl to urinate and something came out of my vaginal, I checked and was an egg like shaped clots of what I think is the residue of the replens but am not sure. I sort of feel relieved from cramps and uneasiness in my lower region anyway. Can u explain what's going on pls. Thanks

1) Heavy period with blood clots may be due to to hormonal imbalance, endometrial or cervical polyp, PID or pelvic infection, uterine fibroid or adenomyosis etc.
I suggest you to undergo pelvic ultrasound scan, blood Hb%, complete blood count and hormone tests to confirm the diagnosis. In that case, you should consult with your GYNECOLOGIST for proper management.
2) You should use vaginal moisturizer cream like RepHresh pH gel or VAGISIL cream for DRY vagina. It is more worthwhile. Maintain genital hygiene properly.
Wear only clean and cotton clothes. Limit SUGARY/ FATTY food stuffs. Drink more water and avoid chemical cosmetics around genital region.
