Brief Answer:
Read below.

Detailed Answer:
I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.

Regarding the sounds that you describe, you can rest assured that they do not indicate anything dangerous, not a manifestation of a brain issue. Whatever the situation in your brain, even if there was some lesion, it does not manifest with any changes upon tapping of the skull or head shaking.

As to the actual reason, one possibility is an upper airway infection, such as sinus and ear infection (the ear is connected to back of throat through Eustachian tube, so often such infections go hand in hand). Ear infections may lead to hearing changes, in this case increased hearing, hyperacusis. That hot sensation and scalp tightness feeling are common accompanying signs as well.

So while for the moment over the counter ant-iinflammatory medication such as Ibuprofen and decongestants are fine to alleviate symptoms, you should be checked either by primary physician or ENT (ear-nose-throat) specialist for signs of such infection. Some blood tests for infection or inflammation as well as imaging may be done. If confirmed and symptoms persistent, at times antibiotics may be needed.

I remain at your disposal for further questions.
