Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query, based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have UTI

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem.
1) Are you diabetic?
2) Have you done urine culture?
3) Was antibiotic prescribed by Dr as per culture and sensitivity report?

Please get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Routine urine test and urine culture to find out the organisms causing this
infection and antibiotics to which they are sensitive to.
2) Blood Sugar tests to rule out or see status of diabetes.

Please take broad spectrum antibiotics like Cefixime along with urinary
antiseptic like Nitrofurantoin twice daily and urine alkaliser thrice daily.Later on switch on to appropriate antibiotics as per culture report.

Get the prescription of medicines from your family Physician.

Ensure to drink more water. To keep your urine dilute This will help to control dysuria.

I have been told I do not have a UTI. For precautions my doctor has prescribed Septra and Cipro two different times. Yes, I am a diabetic. I just can't get rid of the smell. I drink water all day long, avoiding soda and anything that could dehydrate me. My little sister XXXXXXX passed away at age 42 of a massive heart attack,, just prior to her passing she had the same problem. I am really bothered my the smell and find it most embarrassing when someone goes into the bathroom after me. Is it possible that this could be related to any type of heart problem? Concerned!

Thanks, XXXXXXX XXXXX

Brief Answer:
Get your blood sugar levels tests done .

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanksfor feed back.

You have not mentioned whether your diabetes is under control or not.

If you have not checked your sugar levels recently get it checked to see the status of Diabetes.

Your symptoms are not due to any heart problem.

It is utmost important for you to keep your sugar levels well controlled .The smell of urine will fade away once your blood sugar levels are within normal range.

It is essential to get urine culture done to rule out UTI.

Thanks and Regards.
