What Causes Headache, Dizziness And Whooshing Sound In The Ear?

Question: Do you happen to know about a calcaneas gait. I am having difficulty walking and have seen neurologist. With the exception of my cerebral tonsils being a bit long at 7mm (they have ruled out being problematic) and a dx of MDS Stage one (praise God) I can't figure this out. Headaches almost everyday (clean mri) and dizziness are a given. When I stand up I get a "whooshing" sound in my head like a helicopter and some light headedness. All my neurological tests have been ok except some difference in feeling using the pin from the hips to the upper thoracic region. I did have a CT of my sinuses that showed some odyssey in the clivus .(I had to look that one up. Here is my question. The drs at KUMed Center in Kansas City are great but they aren't getting it. I sort of feel bad for them...but, I need some answers. Do you know or have you heard anything about something that might resemble this sort of situation. Or, do you know of a neurological clinic somewhere that diagnosis "weird"? Clinical trials? All I know is I am getting worse while they are scratching their heads. Here is my most pertinent history. Childhood asthma, 6 live births (1 c section) , fibromyalgia / lyme (they can't decide which one), melanoma right thigh in 2005 (good margins superficial spreading variety), tia probably from too much Demoral in my system for too long in 2011( had speech difficulty ( lasted about 1 minute)and fasciculations all over for several hours, admitted to hospital observation overnight and MRI was unremarkable and bloodwork, except low HGB was fine. Dx of MDS January 2015 (but probably was present since late 2013 or early 201 when blood work findings just started to change a bit. Right now my ANC is 1900 and two weeks ago it was 500. My HGB is 8.8. My chemistry is completely normal. Meds are 30 - 60 mg of oxycodone. Ok...so enough about all the "stuff". Got any ideas or know someone i might see who is really good at cracking tough cases. Thanks, XXXXX

Brief Answer:
Read below.

Detailed Answer:
I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.

I see that you are not that happy with the University of Kansas Hospital. I must say though that it is a little hard to suggest a better place than that in Kansas City. It is the highest ranked hospital in your city and speaking nationwide in the US it is ranked in the top 20 hospitals in the Neurology and Neurosurgery specialty. So it is supposed to have some of the best neurologists out there.
However if you are set into getting a second neurologist opinion the best hospital in your state, ranked even higher than Kumed would be certainly the Barnes-Jewish Hospital/Washington University in Saint XXXXXXX

As for personal suggestions reading at those symptoms of headache, dizziness and whooshing sounds to be honest I think there is already an obvious cause for those, your hemoglobin level. It clearly shows anemia and those manifestations are typical textbook anemia manifestations really. So, at least with the information at hand, before searching neurological causes I would work with a hematologist to try to identify the cause for that HGB level and correct that first.

I remain at your disposal for further questions.
