What Causes Headache And Nausea?

Question: I have had a terrible headache for last 2 days with nausea. No vomiting but become diaphoretic intermittently through out the day. Have taken Tylenol with no relief. No history of migraines. Vision is fine. GP apt not until next Wednesday. What do you suggest? XXXXXX

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your symptoms and the most probable diagnosis is migraine. I have noted that you have no past history of migraines.

As of now, you can take better pain killers such as ibuprofen or diclofenac tablets. If headache does not subside, you may take sumatriptan or rizatriptan tablets.

If headache persists despite that, then, it would be better to proceed for a brain scan.
