What Causes Hard Spots On Breast After An Injury?

default
Posted on Thu, 30 Oct 2014
Question: I fell last week on my right breast. The black and blue marks are fading. However, I feel some hard spots on the breast that were not there before. I had a Mammogram last month and all is normal. What should I be doing about the hard spots on my breast? should I use cold or hot compresses? should I massage the areas?

Brief Answer:
You should consult your treating physician.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing to us about it.

I can understand your concern here.

Your symptoms can be due to bruise, infection or due to cysts.

In my opinion you should consult your treating physician and get your ultrasound breast done to find out the cause.

I know your previous mammogram is normal, but any new finding in the breast at your age should be evaluated properly.

Hope I have answered your query if you have further questions I will be happy to assist you.

Good luck.
Regards
Dr.Richa
