What Causes Hard Lump Between Anus And Testicles?
Question: I have a hard area or lump {appros. 3cm by 1cm} betweeen my anus and testicles. There is no external wound or discharge. Sometimes the area swells considerably, and it is painful to sit {sit on one cheek or the other}. The pain and swelling will subside, but the lump remains. A doctor said it was a cyst and prescribed antibiotics. It seemed to completely clear up, but it has recurred and the lump seems more specific. I have an appointment to see the doctor again soon but not sure I should repeat the antibiotic regimen. Not sure if this is related to bowel movement strain that occurs sometimes. Urine stream and and bowel movement are normal.
