default
Posted on Wed, 25 Feb 2015
Question: I have been getting hand tremors. Right hand predominantly. I've noticed it coming on after physical excersion such as repetitive lifting or pulling of things. I have been diagnosed with carpal tunnel as well as 2 cervical bulging discs. I suffer with constant neck and back pain. I also have a lower lumbar bulge. The tremor isn't noticeable with my hands resting. It come about when I put pressure on my hand. Ex: using my hand as a chin rest or using my fingers to open things. Anytime I apply pressure to the hand/fingers. I also suffer with numbness and tingling of my hands worse at times of physical activity or sleeping at night.

Brief Answer:
Tunnel carpal syndrome

Detailed Answer:
Hello. I have been through your question and understand your concern.

According to the symptoms you present it is very probable to be due to carpal tunnel syndrome. Of course there are other possible causes which need further evaluation. But first you should resolve the carpal tunnel syndrome which consists in a very simple operation through local anesthesia and decompression of the ulnar nerve which causes most of your symptoms.

Once you resolve this, you should see the progression of your symptoms. In case those persist you can follow with a nerve conduction study and then a cervical MRI.

Hope this helps. Please feel free for further questions.
