Brief Answer: Need Thyroid checked. Detailed Answer: Hi XXXXXXX I am sorry to hear about your hairloss and weight gain issues. Before we can go any further. Can you tell me how long this has been going on for? Which started first? Hair loss? Laziness? Weight Gain? Do you have a history of Diabetes or Hypertension? In your family (mother or father) do you have these issues? I would like you to get a set of blood work done. Please go to your family doctor and get a request for these blood tests. CBC, Na, K, S. Creatinine, BUN. LFTs and Thyroid Function Tests. Once these tests are done, upload to our site and we can go over them together. I hope this helps. Feel free to follow-up. Vinay

Brief Answer: Furthur endocrine workup needed Detailed Answer: Hello XXXXXXX The constellation of symptoms that you have presented with lead me to believe that you have an endocrine issue. Now Thyroid issues are the most common of them. Since you have already checked for this, we must dig further into your history and blood work to ascertain the cause. By rights, the most efficient way to check into this would be a face to face consultation with an endocrinologist. If you wish though we can continue to discuss further and I will try and give you some guidance on the issue. I have a number of questions that I would like you to answer when you have time. This will help me further understand your problem. After which, we can discuss what other blood tests or exams may be to be done. How is your appetite? Normal? Increased? Decreased? Are you having normal bowel movements? If not, how have they changed? Have you had any changes in your thirst? Are you feeling more thirsty than usual? Have you had any skin pigment changes? Any dark spots or light spots? Do you feel you are sweating more than normal? Or is it unchanged? Have you had any recurrent headaches? Any changes in your vision? Are your monthly cycles occurring normally? Or have they changed? If they have changed, in what way and for how long? Have you ever had any surgery? Any other chronic medication that you take? Do you smoke? What kind of work do you do and how are your stress levels? If you can answer these questions for me it will help me greatly in understanding what is going on. On your follow-up, once you have answered these, we can discuss further. Vinay
