Question: please help im a 42yr ol female about 9 months ago i started to get pins and needles in the left side of my head and have glosstits on my tounge ive had mris ct scans and blood tests my vgcc came back postive but they done eltrode tests and scans and they were ok but 9 months later the pins and needles are worse going all down my neck and my right hand keeps closing i cant chew and my swallow is affected im literally scared to death i dont know whats causing all this i was on alot of opiates for quaida equina syndrme i was solapodaol 8 a day zydol 4 a day disapaem 5mg oynorm 10mg bd qds targin 10mg and oramorph 30 mls 6 times a day but i weaned them all down all im taking now is molipaxin dalmane serqueol and 1 tramadol bd

It is good to note that your MRI brain has come out as normal, as it excludes serious conditions such as tumours, blood clots, infections, etc. Based on the symptoms, it could be dystonia (to explain symptoms such as closing of hand, difficulty in chewing and swallowing). Please show to a neurologist, who would be able to confirm the diagnosis. Medications such as trihexiphenidyl and botox injections would help you get better. In addition to above, side effects of current medications could be making your symptoms worse. Please discuss with your doctor, whether the dose of medications could be reduced.
