Brief Answer:
Symptomatic treatment.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Gas symptoms like belching, flatulence and abdominal distension after surgery is very common due to anesthesia medications reducing bowel motility and it happens for a couple of weeks till it gets back to normal. Also hydrocodone like any other opioid reduces bowel motility and can cause these symptoms as well.

Nutshell its the reduced peristalsis / motility of the bowel and is causing all these symptoms. Just symptomatic care with motility enhancing meds like metoclopramide or domperidone, some antacids, tums and alkaseltzer and fibrous diet with plenty of fluids should help. Wait and see is the best policy as the issue will keep resolving on its own.

i hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
