What Causes Gall Bladder Polyps?

Question: I have recently undergone preventive health check up and doctor mentioned that i have TWO GALLBLADDER POLYPS.

Recently my father was diagnosed with Liver cancer due to HCV. After this my entire family tested for HCV and my mother was positive and me and my brother are negative.

Now what is my next action. do i need to go surgical and remove GB and what diet i have to follow. I am also attaching report.

Here are some facts regarding Gall bladder polyps
1] Hardly 5% GB Polyps are cancerous
2] Polyps less than half an inch are less likely to go for malignancy
3] Polyps bigger than 0.5 Inch in size are more likely to go for malignancy
4] Polyps bigger than 0.75 inch in size pose significant risk of malignancy
5] Surgical removal of gall bladder by open or Laparoscopic surgery is the treatment of choice in case of GB Polyps

I have gone through your reports and it seems you can take a chance and keep a regular followup USG at interval of three to six month to observe for change in the size, number and pattern of polyps

Diet has no significant role in polyps, but it is always better to avoid, spicy, fried and fermented meals
