What Causes Fluctuating BP Readings?

Question: my mom took her blood pressure after she woke up this morning and it was 201/120. It upset her so I had her lie down and calm herself to take it again. 15 minutes later it was 113/33 then
10 minutes after that it was 124/76

she does take blood pressure medicine and is worried about stroke. she has dr appt tomorrow. how serious is this?
