Question: Hi Doctor,

My brother is having fever for past 5 days. We have taken some test too. But doctor's are saying all are normal. I have attached the report, could to double confirm it

Could be bacterial infection

The polymorphs are higher in number and seem to be due to some bacterial infection. Can also be viral. The report should be corelated with symptoms. Thus let me know if your brother has any symptoms.

thanks for your reply.

To be explain more this, here are the few symptoms. from morning till evening everything is fine but after 5 o clock body temp started getting increased. Today evening he s having a fever of 102'C. also at that he s having severe head ache with high sweating.

Typhoid fever is a possibility

Hi again

Evening rise of temperature, sweating are suggestive of typhoid. But can also be other conditions like lung infections (tuberculosis etc), maybe malaria.

Thus I would suggest that he gets more investigations done to rule out these conditions. The tests can include typhidot or widal, rapid malaria test, chest x-ray and urine complete examination.
