What Causes Feeling Of Abdominal Aorta Pulsation?

Question: Should I be concerned?
I have noticed in the last few days that I can feel a pulse in my abdomen. It is more noticeable when I am lying down, and I think, if I look closely enough, I can see it pulsating slightly. I have also felt unusually hungry the last few days. I am 19, female, slim, keep fairly active, dont smoke, dont drink very often, have a good diet. I've been panicking about the possibility of an aortic aneurysm but I dont know if I'm just being paranoid and that it is just normal to feel a pulse in your abdomen when youre slim...

Brief Answer:
Normal in a slim person

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to HCM and thanks for your query.
Feeling the abdominal aorta pulsation is absolutely normal in a slim person. It is more obvious when you are stressed as the high adrenaline level makes the pulsation stronger.
I feel there is nothing for you to worry, but if you are very concerned, an ultrasound examination will rule it out.
Wish you a good day.
