Hi XXXXXXX ,
Thanks for writing in to us.
It is important to know since how long you have been taking medication sulfamethoxazole / trimethoprim. This is a good antibiotic and works for many infective conditions. However, this medication is known to cause certain side effects which includes fatigue, nausea, recurrent dizziness and upset stomach.
If your problems have started within days after starting the medication then please stop taking it and consult your doctor. You may also need to take steps to control diarrhea and prevent dehydration. Please drink lots of water and fresh fluids and eat healthy non spicy food for some days.
If the diarrhea is not under control even after stopping medications, then an infection must be thought of.
Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if your have any doubts.
