default
Posted on Mon, 19 Sep 2016
Question: 59 years old. 270 pounds. Active golfer, walk and carry the bag 4 times a week. Very sedentary job. Had a cardioversion last September 2015. I take low dose aspirin, statin drugs for cholesterol, a diuretic for my blood pressure. during the last four months I have begun to feel lethargic a little off but not sick. in addition I often get a low-grade headache 4 hours or days at a time which are easily controlled by aspirin. I can't seem to shake these symptoms. I woke up this morning felt good walking a 3-mile walk on the beach with my wife and then had a repeat of the same things upon my return home. I felt great during the walk

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome and thanks for your query.
When you exercise, certain hormones and chemicals are released in to your blood which makes you feel energetic. When you stop you go back to your original state. Diuretic medication can lead to electrolyte imbalance and tiredness. Statin can produce fatigue and muscular pains.
If you are due for a review with your treating doctor, you can discuss the tiredness with him /her.It would also be good to have your blood work done.
Do get back to me if you have further questions.
