Posted on Sat, 23 Sep 2017
Question: My wife's eyes are red last 2-3 days. She has on and off bleeding from nose (last 1 yr) and sometimes complaints of feeling a lump sort of thing in her left breast. Any advice on what could be the reason and any tests to be done?

Brief Answer:
Complete hemogram

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

Redness in the eyes could be due to conjunctivitis which could be due to infection, using antiinflammatory eye drops like Ketorlac twice daily for 3 days would help.

Bleeding from nose is common in many. This may occur when a small area called Little's area in the nose is weak or can happen whenever there is slight rise in BP. I would recommend a visit to the ENT specialist to grade the severity and manage the same.

Lump in the breast can be benign or malignant, The necessary evaluation is a must, Should start with a clinical examination by a gynecologist and a Mammogram if she needs.

Regards,
