What Causes Erectile Dysfunction After Undergoing Surgery For Peyronie's Disease?

default
Posted on Fri, 17 Mar 2017
Question: I'm 62 year old male in good shape. In October 2015, I had surgery to correct peyronnie's disease. The procedure removed the plaque and was replaced with a graft. after the procedure, my erections are not as strong. I've used Cialis, which helps, but not to the point it used to be. The urologist feels I now have venous leakage. He is suggesting an implant if I continue to be dissatisfy with my erections after using Cialis. I'm looking for suggestions. Diet, exercise or any other types of prescription medication. I realize you don't know me, but any suggestions would be helpful.

Brief Answer:
Lifestyle changes. Injections or pellets may help.

Detailed Answer:
Good day and thank you for being with HealthcareMagic!!!

I am very sorry to hear that you Will not satisfied with your erection. How was your erection before the surgery ? Were you using Cialis even before the surgery ?

Any other medications currently taking ?

Erections improve with a good lifestyle meaning consuming mirror food and vegetables and staying away from read meat and fats. Exercise would also help 30 mins of a good workout produces endorphins that would help erections. Also cessation of alcohol and nicotine would go a way in preventing further deterioration of erections.

If Cialis doesn't seem to work then next step that I would suggest, is trying intra Urethral pellets or penile injections that would produce erections instantly. MUSE Or Caverject are the brand that are usually available. You may ask your attending urologist about it.

A penile prosthesis can be offered only if everything else fails. This would entail a procedure to place an inflatable balloon in the penis and erections can be achieved by a small pump hidden in the scrotal sac.

I hope I have answered your question adequately.
Feel free to ask in case of any further doubts.
